Unexpected Connection

A few unexpected connections through music really brought joy and some prosperity to my life...

"Music is the King of all professions that's partially,

Cuz even at its crossroads, it can bring bones thugs to harmony." – Ab Soul

It was my gut that kept me going back to the smoke shop. While I was waiting for a new job, I make sure to at least stop by the shop and chat with the tenders.

Very quickly we became acquainted. I went to Gs Baby shower. A decision I juggled considering if I should go. Ultimately, my Mother would have wanted me to go, especially to make new friends and show love.

I didn't have any money at the time. I spent the day flipping clothes and used that money to buy some bud for the party. Safe to say we were GEEKED screaming baby words playing Taboo. A very unexpected connection that continues to grow and offer new experiences.

After the baby shower, I ended up with a job at the smoke shop. All because I walked in held a decent relationship with the store.

I've been there a month and continue to experience unexpected connections.

A customer that is a regular to the night shift crew adores new music. His appreciation for unknown art is relatable. How fast I whip out YouTube or Shazam when I hear "it".

One night, we are going back and forth about which THC infused drinks he will try. Some drum filled record triggered his memory and he invited me to an Aerosmith Cover Band concert. He. Invited. Me.

I am a lover. I am a giver. In the best and worst of times. I have reduced myself to selfishness in dire times. Yet, I am mainly the giver. Very Stubborn on this view.

After I had my little geek moment of friendship, we exchanged numbers and planned to link at the concert. Sure enough. The day of… I got sent my ticket and boom we are at the show.

Great times. Great tunes. The cover band looked damn near identical to their mirror counterparts. Just a random side quest that I thoroughly enjoyed.

A few of these unexpected connections through music really brought joy and some prosperity to my life. I'll be forever grateful to loving music as much as most of us do.
